Asuna Act passes

On July 2nd, 2025, the Coalition of Allied Nations passes the document after hours of debate in the US state of Hawaii, banning 'Arranged Marriages' throughout nations of CAN. It was named the 'Asuna Act', after one of the Arranged Marriages victim, Asuna Yuuki, who suffered a near-rape experience in the 'Sugou incident' that occurred back in January 22nd during the ALO incident caused by RECT employee Sugou Nobuyuki, who held 400 players in an illegal experiment.

The plan was exposed by two individuals, Kazuto Kirigaya and Alexander Mitchell and put to a halt. The two were rewarded by US President Thomas Miller and Japanese Prime Minister Takeda Nishigaki for their bravery and heroism after the act was passed.
